About Baby Emporio
1996: our little niece Desanne had come to visit from Holland, 17 months old, clinging to a well-worn elf-like cloth doll, which she carried with her day and night! Her mom told us that many European babies receive such a doll at birth. Moms would hold the doll close to her own skin for a night or so and her scent would transfer onto the flannel. Babies would love having Mom's scent nearby! We were intrigued and created our own version: Ookie™, Baby's First Doll. Today, Ookie™, which means "Little One" in Dutch, has become as popular here in the US as it is in Holland- just see our testimonial page.
In 2006 the Ookie™ earned the endorsement of the Tiny Miracle Foundation. The Tiny Miracle Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting parents of preemie babies. Then our company and product line started growing:
The kammi™ Teether Doll is wonderful for teething babies! 4 knots can be flash frozen and babies love to chew on them! kammi™ is available in 5 colors and is made of terrycloth and machine washable like a towel. The Kammi™ teether doll has won several awards of which we are very proud.

Then there KinderKozy™ European sleep sacks, a great alternative to baby blankets at night time, thought to be helpful in the prevention of SIDS.
Today, after 10 years in business, Baby Emporio products can be purchased in many countries around the world, as well as in baby specialty stores and hospital gift shops.
Soon we will be adding a new line of baby socks and looking forward to offering more unique baby gift products in the near future.
